The 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan is available in two trims: SE and SXT. The SE model is equipped with a 175 horsepower 3.3L V6 engine, while the SXT receives a 3.8L V6 engine that produces 197 horsepower and 230 lb-ft of torque. A new optional 4.0L V6 engine on the SXT produces 240 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque. The 3.3L V6 engine is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, while the 3.9L and the 4.0L get paired with a new six-speed automatic transmission. The Grand Caravan passenger van features a Stow n' Go seating system. The second and third rows of seats can be easily stowed away in a compartment in the floor leaving more cargo area for larger items.
